STRUCTURE-FORMING FACTORS OF THE NEAR-SHORE SYSTEMS OF WESTERN KAMCHATKA

The goal of this represented work is to analyse the character, direction and intensity of morphology alteration of Kamchatka coastal line using the example of its most complex and studied area – the western coast. The backbone for such analysis were the authors’ own materials collected within the course of conducting special and associated expeditionary works as well as data for literature sources.Forming of recent coastal structures and Western Kamchatka coast itself is conditioned by manifestation of highly extensive tectonic processes connected with development of Western-Kamchatka arc. In the place of this arc in Neogene the Western-Kamchatka bedded sloping plain originated which in its turn underwent slow oscillatory movements.
