Preservation of landscapes and ecosystems in natural or close to such conditions becomes the basic precondition of humanity survival in the present days. In this connection problems of research of boundary regions, that is regions located at the area of the contact ocean – mainland, acquire special importance forasmuch as on the one hand these regions have the richest natural resources (first of all fishy ones) and on the other hand these regions undergo double anthropogenic pressure from the continent and sea.Among such natural regions there are the territories of Kuril Islands, Kamchatka peninsula and near-shore area of Koryak highlands with adjoining water areas of the Pacific, Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea.
